Contribute to an article that is currently too short.
Wikipedia’s goal for its articles is that they are fully developed encyclopedic entries about their subjects. Articles marked as Stubs contain a limited amount of useful information and need to be filled out into a more comprehensive entry.
Many Indigenous writer articles are marked as stubs because they only contain brief bio sections and lists of works and awards. It can be difficult to expand these articles because of issues with notability and the need for citations (See the activity on Citations).
Instructions
- Find an article that is marked as a stub on our HIW Author List page.
- Read through the article to find areas that could be expanded.
- Have a look at non-stub Indigenous writers to see examples of sections to add
- Do some research to find information with appropriate sources.
- Edit the page and write these new sections.
- Publish Changes.
